In August 2006 I was awarded a commission to sculpt "The Blessed Mother", "St. Joseph and the Christ Child", and the "Corpus of Christ Crucified" for a new church, Holy Trinity, that was being built in Fairview Heights, IL.

I sculpted and cast "The Blessed Mother" and "St. Joseph and the Christ Child" simultaneously.  When finished, I devoted my time and energy to the sculpting of Christ crucified.

Sculpting His suffering on the cross was a very personal experience for me.

In December 2007 the sculptures were all in place for the dedication celebration of the new church.

The figures were sculpted in KleanKlay, a petroleum based clay that is non-drying and can be reused, and cast in Forton MG95, a gypsum/resin composite.

Small Sculptures

Small sculptures have been treasured since ancient times.  Often, they are cast from the preliminary sculpture for a large artwork.

The profits from sales of small limited editions can even provide the funds to pay for a large sculpture.

Each sculpture is numbered, dated, signed.
