I am currently working on a "heroic" (larger than life-size) bronze. I look forward to posting the photos when finished.

The first step in creating a large sculpture is the designing of a small, preliminary clay "sketch".

Once the design is finalized I begin work on the large sculpture.

The first step is to build an armature (skeletal structure) of wood, pipe, and hardware cloth.

This will be the inner support for the clay figure. (See "The Process.")

The clay I use, KleanKlay, is a petroleum-based, non-drying clay.

The time necessary to complete the sculpting process is dependent on the size and complexity of the artwork.
